The growth mindset will want to challenge your mentee with the questions to ask, "can I do more" or "is there a better way?" It is looking for solutions and not looking for right and wrong. It is about coming along side the person and praising for making a plan and trusting the results will eventually follow with persistence. Your questions will be geared toward prompting them to think for themselves, not wait for an answer or solution.

Self-regulating was at play.

Where have I self-regulated?
I can think of a number of areas.
My exercising. I only exercise according to the minimum to achieve my next goal. When there is no goal, the fitness needed is lower, therefore I achieve less, etc.
My expectation for my quiet times has similar cycles. When I am am engaged with ministry., my QT bar is higher

I know you have been dreading this challenge but you managed to stick it out and did it. Well done Zuko
